Prof. Peter Smith MD

Professor Smith worked as a Consultant in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and was appointed as a Senior Lecturer at the University College London's Institute of Child Health - where he contributed to its Master Research Program.

In Australia, Professor Smith established Queensland Allergy Services. He served as a clinical lead in the Neuroimmunology and Mucosal Immunology research streams at Griffith and Bond Universities, while also becoming a professor in the Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute in Singapore.

In the past 23 years, Dr Smith has supervised over 50 Master's and PhD candidates - with 118 publications, 2189 citations, an H-index of 23, and an RG index that places him in the top 5% of ResearchGate members.

Professor Smith is a member of the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, and the World Allergy Organizations.

For decades, Professor Smith has been conducting and developing research in the field. His high impact research and current development for the past five years covers The Window of Tolerance, National Centre of Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases, Molecular Immunology, and Food and Allergy and Anaphylaxis.
